Intended use
Oil level eyes with elastic flat seal are used for checking the lubricant level of gear units and slide bearings at standstill.
Field of application and environment
The major field of application includes slide bearing casings and their attachments with the purpose to be able to visually check the lubricant level in the above mentioned components. Furthermore, the lubricant in the casings must be retained without leaks, or penetration of (dirt) particles or fluids from the outside must be prevented. All components must be compatible with all usual mineral lubricants and, except for seal rings made of acrylic butadiene rubber (NBR), all usual synthetic lubricants. The occurring ambient temperatures are in the range from -40 °F to +248 °C.
